Our Story
The Pink Place's purpose is to empower women though beauty and confidence. We strive to provide a safe and inclusive space where every woman feels celebrated and supported. Pink stands for nurturing and love. Therefore, this is a place where we want all women to feel comfortable.
The name came from the pinkest animals in the wild, the flamingo. Mama flamingos devote their whole lives to caring for their offspring, so much so, that for a time they lose their pink coloring. However, once their babies are able to care for themselves, the mama flamingo regains their color. When at The Pink Place, it is our purpose to give ladies their pink color back.

Owner
From a young age, I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Throughout my journey, I've been a self-taught artist and makeup artist, always striving to make people feel better about themselves.Even in high school, I started my own business as a travel makeup artist and was involved in the theater program, where I learned about special effects makeup. I even volunteered in haunted houses to practice and enhance my skills. After high school, I worked in salons and traveled for various makeup assignments. At just 19 years old, I purchased my fi rst home & and used the money I had saved from my makeup business to renovate it! just as my career was about to take off, I faced a challenging time. I became pregnant with my son and had to take a break from my career due to a traumatic pregnancy, then postpartum anxiety and depression. During this period, I focused on bettering my mental health and motherhood, but I also lost sight of myself and gained weight and fell into depression. Despite these challenges, I never gave up on my dreams. I continued to seek knowledge and education in business and makeup artistry. I taught myself many skills, sought knowledge online, and even took classes to specialize in various subjects. I had the opportunity to work with a well-known photography company, which kept me busy and allowed me to continue practicing my craft. I also had the chance to learn and work under a renowned artist in Roswell, which was an incredible experience. However, the long commute took a toll on me. I then transitioned to working as an artist at a tattoo shop for three years, but then outgrew my space and had to make a difficult decision about my next steps. Ultimately, I moved to a less luxurious location with lower overhead costs, which allowed me to save up and plan for what I wanted. After a little over a year, I went from operating in a small space to taking over the 1500 sq ft space in December 2023. I was awarded Georgia Business Journal's Best PMU Clinics in North Georgia. My educational journey as a self-taught artist and makeup artist has been filled with challenges and setbacks. But through perseverance and a passion for my craft, I have been able to overcome obstacles and continue pursuing my dreams. I hope that my story inspires others to never give up on their passions and to always seek knowledge and growth, no matter the circumstances.
